The "Truth to Power" Women's March 2019

Here in San Jose, Ca it was packed. Lots of great speakers, and it seems just as well attended as 2016 and 2017. Sorry, I don’t have any official estimates, but it sure looked bigger than Trump’s inauguration LOL.

Women’s March Bay Area is not affiliated with “The Women’s March”, and like the sibling marches such as New York’s and Los Angeles’, the organizers raise their own funds apart from “The Women’s March” that has unfortunately been controversially associated with anti-semitism. The “Truth to Power” marches do not support bigotry of any kind, and we do love our men that support us, as emphasized in some of the videos.

The Women’s March in the Bay Area addresses issues such as voting rights, lack of affordable housing, racism, LGBTQ / GLEAM rights, equal pay, the fight for a $15 minimum wage, separation of children at the border, Vietnamese attacks on citizenship (and all anti-immigrant attacks), abuse of women, and of course women’s rights. It was, and if it remains strong, will be a significant incubator of both people who run for election, and the voters that will support them.

Fiona Ma, a host of women who ran for office, two elected Bay Area women, were some of the eloquent speakers captured by Pro-Bono Photo for the San Jose March.

I “work” for Pro-Bono Photo, an organization that donates photo documentation of the work of activists in the SF Bay Area. If you want to see videos of speakers, the photos of the march, and make use of them (please follow the use rules of the site), please go here:
